furniture + decor to bring to people’s own personal and spaces.

Whilst we will continue to build up the range, we can also offer sourcing and custom-made services.

OUR STORY

A double garage, 200 wooden crossback chairs and the unrelenting desire to bring truly striking and special pieces to Durban.

 

Started by Kendall Airey, House of Hudson began as a furniture & decor hire company, which never lost sight of the goal to expand the business into a full-service offering across weddings & events.

Building on years of experience, word-of-mouth and the time & energy attracting good vibes, the collection grew along with the team, showroom and offerings, and Maxine Gibbon could then head up the planning & styling division with a natural evolution for the House of Hudson brand to also filter into clients homes through a curated furniture retail collection.


Together, you can find the two of them doing a million things at once with impeccable style and boundless energy: Planning the next big wedding from beginning to end; collaborating with cool, local brands for pop-up events; missioning around quirky, vintage shops and exotic nurseries; scouting out fresh faces for a photoshoot or changing up tablescapes in the House of Hudson showroom space.

 

Combining Kendall’s experience in interior styling, her keen eye for detail and her considered approach when creating a space with Maxine’s planning & coordination, her knack for content creation and keeping up with all their clients, venues and suppliers…and you know you’re in magic hands.
